Located in Lovingston, Virginia, Saunders Landscapes is a landscape design company and nursery specializing in color and creative design/installation in the Charlottesville, Lynchburg and Wintergreen areas.  With more than 15 years of growing experience with annuals and perennials, our team can introduce you to a very wide range of plant material – both traditional and the newest cultivars on the market.  Our design team has expertise in all facets of the elegant landscape including retaining walls, walkways, paths, arbors, trellises and more.  Simplicity, design flow and functionality are the cornerstone in our designs. From concept to installation, we specialize in the ‘turn-key’ landscape job.

Saunders Landscapes Wholesale Nursery

Our nursery is WHOLESALE ONLY and ships to a number of garden centers in the Roanoke, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Richmond and Northern Virginia areas.  Our container sizes ranges from a 4.5 inch annual, 1 Qt and  3 quart perennials and specific 2 Gallon perennials.  Check out our plant list for 2011 which includes our specialty items:

Seasonal - Snow Removal Services

Saunders Landscapes now offers snow removal services.  Our rubber tired loaders are small and very maneuverable for those tight spaces.  Our services include both pushing snow and shoveling walks. Typical driveways are from $75-100 in the valley and $150 on Wintergreen mountain.  Don't wait for the snow to fall - call now to get a quote and to have your driveway marked to help prevent cutting into grass, landscape beds and

hardscapes.

Customer Rewards Program

For years we have been working on a rewards program to say 'thank you' for choosing us as your landscape contractor and design team.  The rewards program uses our wholesale nursery to provide annual and perennial color at NO CHARGE for the year of, or the season after your installation based on the dollar volume spent.   Here is a breakdown of the program:

$5,000   - 9,999    -  30, 4.5-inch annuals and 6, 3-Quart perennials

$10,000 - 19,999  -  45, 4.5-inch annuals, 12, 3-Quart perennials, 1 hanging basket

$20,000 and up   -  60, 4.5-inch annuals, 18, 3-Quart perennials, 2 hanging baskets, 2 patio bowls

About Sam & Joanie Saunders

Sam Saunders is the owner and manager of Saunders Landscapes.  He grew up in the nursery business.  Sam  has  both experiences in the wholesale trade as an annual and perennial grower, as well as the landscape trade as a designer.  He has professionally worked in the nursery industry since his graduation from Virginia Tech in 1991.  As you get to know him, you will find that he is genuinely interested in helping you to install an affordable design without compromising quality or creativity.  

Joanie is the Sales/Office Manager and is also a part owner in the business.  She grew up on a farm in Roseland, VA and has been in agriculture her entire life.  Joanie graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  Her meticulous attention to detail has yielded Saunders Landscapes some of the highest quality annuals and perennials in the marketplace.  Give her a call and you will see why our nursery is up and coming.
